CO Birders :

The Denver Audubon Group relocated the ( banded ) Blue-winged
Warbler this afternoon at the banding station area , Chico Basin Ranch ( fee
area
) , El Paso County . Feeding high up in cottonwood trees on insects
attracted to the catkins. Interestingly this male was singing the dawn
secondary
song ( listen to Sibley, Stokes does not have it ) and that not very well ,
a song that I have never previously heard in my days back east. Other
migrants were in general low , Cassin's Kingbird near Holmes , Western Tanager
banding station and HQ , Bullock's Oriole at banding station and Rose Pond
, Plumbeous Vireo at the banding station, MacGillivray's Warblers at
banding station and HQ willows and plenty of Yellow-rumps , Ruby-crowned
Kinglets
. Shorebirds could only find Spotted Sandpipers and Wilson's Phalarope.
