Arapahoe County:
--An imm Sabine's Gull was reported by Andrews at Cherry Creek Reservoir on 
September 10.  The bird was south of the swim beach.
--A juv LONG-TAILED JAEGER and several ad and juv Sabine's Gulls were reported 
by Kilpatrick and Walbek at Cherry Creek State Park on September 6.  The juv 
LONG-TAILED JAEGER was  seen again by Roller and others on September 7 and was 
observed on the Fall Bird Count by Brown on September 10. 
  
Boulder County:
--A juv American Golden-Plover was report by Floyd at the northwest corner of 
Boulder Reservoir on September 11 and was refound by Miller

12.
--A Magnolia Warbler (first-fall male) was reported by Boswell on the east side 
of Sanitas Green Belt on September 11.  Directions: go west on Maxwell in to 
the hospital grounds, follow the driveway on the west side of the power plant 
(chimney) up to the parking lot.  Go out the north end of the parking lot , 
turn left on the trail.  The bird was in the shrubs along the irrigation ditch 
before the trail crosses the wooden bridge.  The fenced area is closed Open 
Space; south of the bridge is open Open Space. 
--A Prothonotary Warbler was reported by Frye via BBC members on September 8 at 
Teller Lake.  The bird was hanging out with a small flock of Wilson's at Teller 
Lake
just up the path from the parking area. 
--An imm Sabine's Gull was reported by Gent at Boulder Reservoir on September 
11.
--The Pacific Loon first reported by Blatchley on July 10 at MacIntosh Lake, 
was seen as recently as September 11 by Gent.  
 
Douglas County:
--A probable LESSER NIGHTHAWK was reported by Kingery at the McClain Pit on 
September 10.  Directions to the McClain Pit:  Turn south on Castlewood Canyon 
Road about 1/4 mile west of the traffic light in Franktown (just west of the 
bridge over Cherry Creek; turn lanes from 
both east and west).  Go south about 1/4 mile, past County road on right, past 
a driveway on the left, and turn into entrance to the pit.  There is space for 
a couple of cars in front of the gate.           

El Paso County:
--A probable PARASITIC  JAEGER and a Caspian Tern were reported by Drummond at 
Big Johnson Reservoir on September 11
--A Nashville Warbler and a Red-eyed Vireo were reported by Drummond at 
Sondermann Park in Colorado Springs on September 10.
--A Green Heron was reported by Pals on the Fountain Creek Fall Bird Count on 
Sept. 11.
--A Northern Waterthrush was banded by Elwonger at Fountain Creek Nature Center 
on September 11.
 
Huerfano County:
--A Juv Sabine's Gull was reported by Neldner at the east end of Martin Lake on 
September 12.                      
 
Jefferson/Douglas Counties:
--A juv. LITTLE GULL was reported by Walbek on September 7 at Chatfield 
Reservoir, best seen from the handicap fishing pier.  Several observers refound 
the the bird on Sept. 8, along with several Sabine's Gulls.  Eckert reports the 
Little Gull and the Sabine's Gulls were at the south end of the reservoir on 
September 10.  The LITTLE GULL was NOT observed on September 11 , but a few 
Sabine's Gulls remain.    
 
Larimer County:
--A Great Crested Flycatcher was reported by Leatherman at Grandview Cemetery 
in Ft. Collins on September 12.  The was seen in the extreme southeast corner 
over the picnic table south of the Shop Building (just north across the ditch 
from the pump house).
--An EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE was reported by Komar at the north end thicket of Dixon 
Reservoir on September 8. 
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported by Komar at the north end of Dixon 
Reservoir on September 2 and again on September 8.
 
Moffat County:
--A Nashville Warbler was reported by Luke at Loudy-Simpson Park in Craig on 
September 6.
--A Black-and-white Warbler and a Tennessee Warbler were reported by Dodson at 
Loudy-Simpson Park in Craig on September 8.

Pueblo County:
--A Northern Waterthrush and two Curve-billed Thrashers were reported by 
Maynard at the Pueblo County side of Chico Basin Ranch (fee area) on September 
10.
   
Washington County:
--At Prewitt Reservoir on September 10, Roller reported the following at the 
inlet canal: Black-throated Gray Warbler, Black-and-white Warbler, and a 
juvenile Mississippi Kite (rare for Washington County).

The DFO field trip for Saturday, September 18 is to Rocky Mountain National 
Park and is led by Chris Owens, (303)722-6048. Enjoy the late-summer splendor 
of the Park while searching for lingering passerines, jays, raptors, perhaps a 
Dipper or two, and the always thrilling rarity! Meet Chris at 0800 at the 
Beaver Meadows Visitors' Center parking lot for a lovely day of birding 
alongside friends from the Boulder Bird Club. Bring lunch and plenty of water; 
scopes optional. Trip will wrap up at about 1400. 

The DFO field trip for Sunday, September 19 is to Lair o' the Bear Park and is 
led by Niña Routh, (303)987-8687. Come explore this popular trail and find out 
what birds are lingering into summer's bittersweet fade. Half-day trip, 
0800-1200, easy hiking; bring water and snacks, and layers for weather. This is 
a space-limited trip; you must register with Niña in advance.
