Adams County:
-- 4 Barrow's Goldeneyes (3m, 1f)  were reported by Mlodinow on the S
Platte River between 68th and 88th on December 29.  On January 4, Gilbert
reported 4 Barrow's Goldeneyes (2m, 2f) by the water tank S of 88th and
Colorado.
--On January 1, along the S Platte River from 74th St upstream, Floyd
reported 8 Rusty Blackbirds on the Denver Urban CBC.

Arapahoe County:
--A SNOWY OWL was reported by Stachowiak flying across I-225 between
Yosemite and Parker Road toward fields below Cherry Creek Dam.
--A Tundra Swan was reported by Mieger at the inlet to Cherry Creek on
December 31.

Boulder County:
--On December 29, Cushman reported that the Northern Cardinal continues in
Hawthorn Gulch.
--On December 27, Floyd reported 1 ad Glaucous Gull, 1 ad MEW GULL, 4
Thayer's Gulls, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls.  On December 30, Kaempfer
reported MEW GULL and ad Lesser Black-backed Gull at Valmont.  On January
3, Mlodinow reported 4 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 6 Thayer's Gulls at
Valmont Reservoir.
 --On January 1, Dowell reported GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW and Harris's
Sparrows near the small stream which passes under Valmont where the
pedestrian crossing for White Rocks is.   On January 3, Mlodinow reported
GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW and 2 Harris's Sparrows along the path from the
Teller Farms parking lot to the White-Rocks Trail and they flew to north
side of Valmont Road.
--On January 4, Piombino reported about 20 Common Redpolls and 1-3 Harris's
Sparrows coming to her feeders.  Her address is 6012 St Vrain Road which is
W of  Hygiene.

Broomfield County:
--On December 27, Mlodinow reported 2 Thayer's Gulls and Lesser
Black-backed Gull and Schmoker reported Glaucous Gull and 2nd cyc ICELAND
GULL at Anthem Ranch.  Anthem Ranch is S of Hwy 7 and Lowell.
 --At Sienna Pond (Corner of Lowell & Sheridan) Mlodinow reported Glaucous
Gull and Schmoker reported Lesser Black-backed Gull on December 27.

Custer County:
--A f EASTERN TOWHEE was reported by Dan Maynard in Wetmore in a yard with
a feeder on CR 395 on January 1.

El Paso County:
--On January 4, Teuton reported that the ACORN WOODPECKER continues in SW
Colorado Springs around Willow Circle and Cheyenne Blvd.

Fremont County:
--An ad m EURASIAN WIGEON first found on the Penrose CBC was refound by
Drummond at Centennial Park in Canyon City on December 30.  It was feeding
on grass with American Wigeon.   Steve Brown reported that the EURASIAN
WIGEON continues at Centennial Park on January 1.

Garfield County:
--35 Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Filby at Coryell Ranch Pond on
January 2.

Jefferson County:
--Henwood reported on November 26 that the GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW
continuues at Red Rocks Trading Post.  On December 28, Henwood reported 8
Gray-crowned and 2 Black Rosy-Finches at Red Rocks Trading Post.  On
December 31, Skrenty reported GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW and 1 Gray-crowned
Rosy-Finch at Red Rocks Trading Post.  On January 4, Brown reported
GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW and 2 Common Redpoll at Red Rocks Trading Post.

Kit Carson County:
--On the Flager CBC on December 27, Kaempfer reported Common Redpoll,
Winter Wren, EASTERN MEADOWLARK, and over 22000 Lapland Longspurs.
--On December 29, Huffstater reported a late Turkey Vulture crossing the
I-70 west of Flager.

Larimer County:
 --24 Common Redpolls were reported by Sparks behind the Discovery  Museum
in Fort Collins on December 15.  The museum is N of the intersection of
Mason and Cherry St.  On December 30, Newport reported that the Common
Redpolls continue to visit the feeders behind the Discovery Museum.
--On January 1 on the Loveland CBC, Komar reported 1 Barrow's Goldeneye, 1
Thayer's Gull, 1 Lesser  Black-backed Gull, 2 White-winged Doves, 2
Chihuahuan Ravens, 1 Winter Wren, 1 Pine Warbler, 2 White-throated
Sparrows, 2 Harris's Sparrows, and 17 Common Redpolls; and on count week 2
Tundra Swan and 3 HOARY REDPOLLS.
--On December 31 on the Rawhide CBC, Kibbe reported 2 Chihuahuan Ravens and
66 Common Redpolls.,

Logan County:
--On the Crook CBC on December 29, Larson reported Northern Cardinal and
Red-bellied Woodpecker.

Mesa County:
--A White-winged Dove was reported by Korte in the 2400 block of Mesa Ave
in Grand Junction on December 28.
 --On the Grand Mesa CBC on January 1, Korte reported enormous flocks of
all 3 species of Rosy-Finches on Road V with Common Redpolls and 12
Barrow's Goldeneyes on Jerry Creek Reservoir #1.

Pitkin County:
--15 Common Redpolls were reported by Dick Filby at Aspen Village Trailer
Park on December 27.  The trailer park is SE of Snowmass by Hwy 82.
--10 Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches were reported by Dick Filby at Snowmass ski
area on January 2.

Pueblo County:
--At Pueblo Reservoir and the S shore marina on December 28, Percival
reported 1 Red-throated Loon, 1 Pacific Loon, 3 ad Tundra Swans,
1 f Long-tailed Duck, 1 1-st cyc Glaucous Gull, 1 ad Great Black-backed
Gull, 5 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 1 juv Thayer's Gull.  On December 29
Hurtado reported an ad MEW GULL and imm Glaucous Gull at Pueblo Reservoir
and Percival reported 10 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, Red-throated Loon,
Pacific Loon, and Common Redpoll on North Picnic Road.  On December 30 at
the S Shore Marina tires Drummond reported a probable 1-st cyc ICELAND
GULL.  On December 31, Percival reported at Pueblo Reservoir:  1-st cyc
ICELAND GULL, 1-st cyc GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL, ad MEW GULL, 1-st cyc Glaucous
Gull, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Great Black-backed Gull, Thayer's Gull,
Red-throated Loon, and Pacific Loon.  On January 1, at N Marina of Pueblo
Reservoir, Mlodinow reported Pacific Loon, Red-throated Loon, Great
Black-backed Gull, and 1 Common Redpoll and at S Marina Great Black-backed
Gull, 1st-cyc GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL, ad MEW GULL, 10 Lesser Black-backed
Gulls, and 10 Thayer's Gulls.
--On January 1 at Pueblo City Park, Mlodinow reported Yellow-bellied
Sapsucker in NE corner and Pine Warbler N edge of zoo.
--On January 1 on the Arkansas River below Pueblo City Park near the foot
bridge Dan Maynard reported a f Barrow's Goldeneye.

Weld County:
--An imm/f Long-tailed Duck was reported by Mlodinow at the Frederick
Recreational Area on December 20 and on January 3 Mlodinow reported that
the Long-tailed Duck continues at the area.

The DFO field trip for Saturday, January 5 will be to the Longmont Area led
by Nancy Wesorick (970-532-2194).  Meet the leader at Jim Hamm park at
0800.  From I-25 take Exit 240.  Go west 4 miles on Co 119 to Boulder/Weld
County Line Road, the approximate 2 miles north to park on left at E 17th
Ave.  Will search water bodies for waterfowl and winter birds.  Walking
will be limited to flat trails and no more than a mile at any one site.
 Bring water, lunch, scopes, and dress for predicted weather.  Trip will
end mid-afternoon.

The DFO field trip for Sunday, January 6 will be to Walden Ponds in
Boulder.  This is a joint trip with Boulder Bird Club.  Leaders:  Chris
Owens from DFO (303-772-6048) and Dick Pautsch from BBC (rjpaut...@gmail.com).
 The entrance to Walden Ponds is off 75th, just south of Jay Road and north
of Valmont Road.  Meet at Cottonwood Marsh parking lot at 0900.  Bird until
noon.  Dress for cold weather, with warm footwear and hat.  Bring
binoculars, scope, water and snack.  Everyone welcome.
