Arapahoe County:
--A Caspian Tern was reported by Walbek on the SE shore at Cherry Creek
Reservoir on May 7.
--A 1-st Spring Summer Tanager was reported by Bierling in Elm Trees E of
the last whale tail picnic table by the west side beach and boat ramp at
Cherry Creek SP on May 8.

Baca County:
--At Two Buttes on May 11, Walbek reported a singing PHILADELPHIA VIREO and
White-eyed Vireo.  On May 11, at Two Buttes, Rawinski reported m PAINTED
BUNTING and Northern Waterthrush.  On May 12 at Two Buttes, Mlodinow
reported Tennessee Warbler.
--At Cottonwood Canyon on May 12, Mlodinow reported singing EASTERN TOWHEE
and singing Indigo Bunting.
--At Burchfield SWA on May 12, Mlodinow reported White-eyed Vireo,
PHILADELPHIA VIREO, Yellow-throated Vireo, Northern Parula, BAY-BREASTED
WARBLER, Blackpoll Warbler, and Northern Waterthrush.

Bent County:
--At Tempel Grove on May 6, Kaempfer reported 1 f Hooded Warbler, 1 singing
Northern Parula, and an Eastern Phoebe.  On May 7, Duane Nelson reported 1
singing Northern Parula and 1 singing Northern Waterthrush at Tempel Grove.
 On May 7, Moss reported f Hooded Warbler and 1st year Summer Tanager and
Eastern Phoebes were continuing nest building under the bridge at Tempel
Grove.
On May 11 at Tempel Grove, Walbek reported Black-throated Blue Warber,
Northern Parula, and Northern Waterthrush and Gillilan reported f Summer
Tanager and Indigo Bunting.
--A molting m Summer Tanager was reported by Duane Nelson at Van's Grove on
May 7.
--At "The Willows" on the south side of John Martin Reservoir on May 7,
Duane Nelson reported 1 m Tennessee Warbler and 1 f Northern Parula.  He
reported that the mosquitoes were terrible.  The site is 1 mile E of CR
14.5 on CR FF.5.
--At Hasty CG on May 12, Rawinksi reported f Indigo Bunting.
--At Blue Lake on May 12, Rawinksi reported m Surf Scoter.

Boulder County:
 --At Walden/Sawhill ponds, Nunes reported that a Green Heron has returned
on May 6.  Plage reported that the Boulder Bird Club First Sunday at Walden
Ponds had at least 2 Green Herons on May 6.  On May 9, Ely reported 2 Green
Herons at Walden/Sawhill Ponds.
--A Caspian Tern was found by Gent at Baseline Reservoir on May 7.
--An ad f Summer Tanager and and pair of Rose-breasted Grosbeaks were
reported by Moore on CU East Campus along Boulder Creek on May 8.
--An American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Ely on the Green
Mountain West Ridge Trail on Flagstaff Mountain on May 9.
--A Black-throated Gray Warbler was reported by Moore on CU East Campus on
May 10.  On May 12, Gent found a m BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER on the S side of
the creek and N of the running track and refound the Black-throated Gray
Warbler.
--A Rose-breasted Grosbeak and singing Nashville Warbler were reported by
Mlodinow on Apple Valley Road in Lyons on May 10.
--2 White-winged Doves were reported by Tumasonis in Gunbarrel at
Brandywine and Wellington and Plage had 2 White-winged Doves on the Twin
Lakes Trail startng north from Spine.

Dolores County:
--A pair of Black Phoebes was reported by Dunmire near the boat ramp at
Bradfield Bridge CG on May 10.
--A Black Phoebe was reported  by Dunmire on the banks of the Dolores River
.5 mile below Cabin Canyon CG on May 10.

El Paso County:
--On May 12 on the Fountain Creek Spring Count Pals reported:
  In Area 2 1m Summer Tanager and 1 Ovenbird; In Area 3 (Rice's Pond) 2
Green Herons; in Area 5 White-winged Dove; in Area 6 Chestnut-sided
Warbler; in Area 7 Green Heron, 1 Northern Waterthrush, and 2 White-eyed
Vireos.
Elwonger banded a White-eyed Vireo in Area 7W on May 12.  On May 12, Hinds
reported a White-eyed Vireo at Hansen Nature Center.

El Paso/Pueblo Counties:
Chico Basin Ranch which is a fee area.
--On May 8, Koehn reported an Indigo Bunting and 2 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks
from HQ (Pueblo).
--On May 8, Brown reported that a GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH and m Indigo Bunting
were banded and m Hooded Warbler and m Rose-breasted Grosbeak were seen
around the banding station.
--On May 9, Percival reported singing  Blackpoll Warbler and singing
Northern Parula near the banding station and a Northern Waterthrush at Rose
Pond.
--On May 9, Brown reported that 3 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks (2m, 1f) were
banded.
--On May 10, Brown reported that a Worm-eating Warbler was banded.
--On May 12, Drummond reported that the Worm-eating Warbler was recaptured
at the banding station and the Boulder Bird Club had a Northern Watertrush
at Rose Pond and Tim Smart found a WOOD THRUSH at HQ pond.

Huerfano County:
--A Black-and-white Warbler was reported by Nelder around Martin Lake in
Lathrop SP on May 9.

Jefferson County:
--A Rose-breasted Grosbeak was banded by McBurney at the Chatfield Banding
Station on May 10.

Kiowa County:
--At Neenoshe Locust Grove on May 11, Walbek reported a Summer Tanager.  On
May 12 at Neenoshe, Rawinski reported Chestnut-sided Warbler.

Larimer County:
--A singing Northern Waterthrush was reported by DeFonso at Dixon Reservoir
in Fort Collins on May 7.
--In Estes Park Wright found a m Hooded Warbler on the N side of the Big
Thompson River below the dam and Matthews flushed a male Magnolia Warbler
on the N side of the river on May 8.

Mesa County:
--3 Purple Martins were reported by Arnold on 10 Road west of Grand
Junction on May 8.
--A basic plumaged American Golden-Plover was reported by Arnold at
Highline SP on May 8.
--A White-winged Dove was reported by Korte at 24th and Mesa Ave in Grand
Junction on May 12.

Prowers County:
--On May 11 at Lamar Community College Woods (LCCW) Walbek reported
Northern Cardinals.
--On May 11 at Willow Park/LCCW Gillilan reported Great Crested Flycatcher
(north end), PHILADELPHIA VIREO, probable Nashville Warbler and a pair of
Northern Cardinals (south end).

Pueblo County:
--At Pueblo City Park, Percival reported a singing m Northern Parula on May
12.
--At Valco Ponds on May 12, Percival reported 1 Caspian Tern flying around
the fish hatchery ponds, 2 singing Northern Cardinals, 1 Eastern Phoebe,
 and 1 singing m (all red) Summer Tanager.

Weld County:
--A Northern Waterthrush, WOOD THRUSH, and possible GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH
were reported by Kent Nelson at Crow Valley CG on May 10.  On May 12, 1 f
Tennessee Warbler and a m Blackpoll Warbler were reported by Walbek at Crow
Valley CG.
--A PALM WARBLER was reported by Walbek at Norma's Grove on May 12.
--On May 12, Walbek reported a Short-billed Dowitcher somewhere in Weld
County.
--A Northern Waterthrush was reported in an irrigation ditch along Bebe
Draw on May 12.

Yuma County:
--At Bonny SWA near the old Visitor Center Tina Jones reported 1 m Indigo
Bunting and 1 m Cardinal on May 12.  At Foster's Grove CG  Tina Jones
reported 1 Great Crested Flycatcher on May 12.

Sunday, May 13
Barr Lake Periphery:  Leader: Dick Anderson (303-757-4582).  Meet at 0730
on access road to entrance station at Barr Lake SP.  This trip does not
involve much walking.

Rocky Mountain Arsenal:  Leader Urling Kingery (303-814-2723).  Space
limited; contact Leader to register.
