The Common Gallinule is still present in the same marsh as previously reported
in Wellington SWA, Larimer.
Today I found in the middle section of the more north marsh, more towards the
middle of the lake. Eventually came out into the open and walked around
feeding.

intermittent snowbanding. We were at the small pond for about 45 minutes

saw it on the 19, not the 20th.
I posted to cobirds on the 20th that I had seen it “yesterday”.
On the 20th we were home celebrating a birthday :)

I saw the Common Gallinule yesterday at 7:18 am at the Running Deer Marsh.
I was looking at a Virginia Rail preening on the small cattail island in the
open water in the south east part of the marsh when it appeared in my field of
view. It walked near the water but in the cattails. It went from
The Common Gallinule appeared at 7:30 am for about one minute. Seen well at its
normal watering hole at Running Deer Nature Area.

It took a while, but the Common Gallinule did make an appearance this
morning at the usual spot at Running Deer Natural Area (see previous
messages for directions, etc.)
I was beginning to feel a bit cursed when, after waiting over 3 hours,
