Hi all: I have created a hot spot in eBird for the current El Paso County Acorn Woodpecker (the one in SW Colorado Springs). eBird would greatly appreciate anyone reporting this bird to eBird in the future to use that hot spot (Colorado Springs--Willow Cir. ACWO site) and would also greatly appreciate those that have already reported it, to change the location to this hot spot. The rationale behind using existing hot spots is here (http://ebird.org/content/ebird/about/hotspots). To alter the location of existing checklists, you can take one of two tacks:
1) if your location is specific for the woodpecker and is not used for other more-general birding in sw. COS, in 'Manage My Locations' merge your personal location with the existing hot spot (http://ebird.org/content/ebird/about/faq#section-43) or 2) if your checklist(s) including the ACWO is (are) used for additional previous checklists that entail more-general birding in the area, choose a different location (http://ebird.org/content/ebird/about/faq#section-40) for the checklist(s) including the ACWO by editing that (those) checklist(s) and selecting the newly created hot spot for the location. I and eBird thank you. Sincerely, Tony Leukering Villas, NJ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Colorado Birds" group.
