I found a Greater Roadrunner at Brush Hollow SWA about 12 miles northeast
of Canon City this afternoon. I had not checked this area for over a month
and was checking the northwest area of the state lands which is now more
accessible since CPW has finally implemented a restriction of 'no atv's',
which have torn up the 2 tracks terribly. The bird appeared to be a young
bird and I had to slam on my brakes to keep it from becoming a hood
ornament when it ran right in front of my car. I have uploaded 2 photos of
the Roadrunner onto my Birds and Nature
blog<http://birdsandnature.blogspot.com/>and will add more tomorrow.

Few other birds in this area: 2 W Kingbirds, 1 Lark Sparrow, 1 G B
Heron, 2 D C Cormorants, 1 Black-chinned Hummer and 2 W Scrub Jays.
