All,
It has been astutely pointed out (by responders to yesterday's COBIRDS post re

I heard from another birder that it was seen on west Trilby Rd (west of Taft

If anyone sees it on Jan 1 please photograph it to document it for the Loveland
CBC.

No luck this morning on Trilby. Did see a Ferriginous Hawk and a nice
light-morph Rough-legged Hawk.
Also, note to the other birder who's was there early, and left for work - you
left your coffee mug on the fence, near the base of pole 16.
Good Birding,

This morning around 9:15 my sister Connie and I observed the Gyrfalcon
on one of the power pole on Trilby by the dump. It stayed long enough for
us to get a good scope view to verify that it was not a Prairie Falcon. We
had tried earlier around 8:30 but did not see it.

We are going to be in the Fort Collins area this weekend. Is the Gyrfalcon
still being seen. Any suggestions for where to park?

Hello all,
I am an out of town birder who will have a shot tomorrow to search for the
Gyrfalcon. This would be a most desired lifer for me. I have been reviewing
the posts (thanks all!) and am curious what the best strategy would be to try
and respectfully see this bird tomorrow. Is it just
Hi all,
I saw the Gyr Falcon on Trilby road for about 15 minutes. I got to
Trilby at 12:55 pm. The bird flew in at about 1:00 pm and perched for
about 15 minute on one of the tall poles, then flew north towards the
landfill, then made a sharp turn to the west and I lost it.
