July/August 2010 Field Trips
Saturday, July 31 Cherry Creek State Park
Leader: Mary Keithler (303) 771-1421. Meet at the Marina at 0730 for this
1/2 day trip. To reach the Park from Yosemite Street go east on Union
Avenue past Cherry Creek High School to park entrance. Bring sunscreen,
insect spray and lunch is optional. We'll check out bird happenings in some
of
the least populated areas (hopefully!) of this popular park.
Sunday, August 1 Rocky Mountain National Park
Leader: Ed Holub, (303) 979-2194. Meet leader at 0800 at the Visitor
Center near the Beaver Meadows entrance. This will be an all day trip so
bring
lunch and extra water. Trip will probably finish about 3:15 or 3:30 p.m.
The entrance fee is $20 per car so carpooling is encouraged.
