Two Lapland Longspur in tow with about two dozen Horned Lark on the exposed
shoreline of CR 61/74 Galeton Ponds (south one). Also, Northern Shrike
along South Platter river at CR 61 crossing--Rough-legged Hawk in that area
last weekend.

On routine morning walk along CR 100 and CR 33 had 4 Lapland Longspur
flyover and then farther down road another smaller group of 2.
The walk starts on CR 100 .25m east of CR 33 and then south on CR 33 for
about .5m. There is large prairie dog colony on both sides of road which

Had two Lapland Longspur fly overhead in yard yesterday. You can probably
find them along Weld CR 33 between 98 and 100. The expansive Prairie Dog
colony to the west is now grown into our 33 acres (Two Burrowing Owl
families this summer).

While strolling along Weld CR 33 between 98 and 100 (large prairie dog
colony both sides) we had 15-20 Lapland Longspur flying around. We hear
some of these birds flying overhead in our yard, too, like yesterday
putting up our Christmas lights.

6 Lapland Longspur at the very large prairie dog colony .5m north of Weld
CR 90 on Weld CR 29.

Hi all
On the north side of the dump along Weld CR 84, .25m east of Weld CR 25
hanging out in fallow field on south. They were with a flock of Horned
Lark (24+). I turned off car and both longspurs walked within 15 feet of
my driver side window. Excellent photos:
