Adams County:
--Rhodes reported that Long-tailed Ducks and 3 Barrow's Goldeneyes were on West 
Gravel Lake on February 21.
On February 25, Modesitt reported 2 Long-tailed Ducks on the reservoir east of 
the river at 88th and a pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes on West Gravel Pond.  On 
March 3, Partin reported 3 Long-tailed Ducks on the South Platte River near 
88th.
 
Baca County:
--At Two Buttes SWA on February 27, Floyd reported a Red-bellied Woodpecker.
 
Boulder County:
--An ad Glaucous Gull and 2 ad Lesser Black-backed Gulls were reported by Nunes 
at the Valmont Reservoir Complex on February 26.  On March 3, Nunes reported 3 
ad Lesser Black-backed Gulls at the Valmont Reservoir Complex.
--A male American Three-toed Woodpecker was reported by Nunes on the Mallory 
Cave Trail near NCAR in Boulder on March 2.
  
Delta County:
--13 Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Garrison on the river upstream from 
Confluence Park Boat Ramp in Delta on February 24.
On February 28, Stigen reported 17 Barrow's Goldeneyes on the Gunnison River at 
Confluence Park.  
 
Denver County:
--A pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes was reported by Henwood along the S. Platte 
River just north of the bridge on W. Evans Ave on December 14.  On March 1, 
Thornton-Kolbe reported the male Barrow's north of Florida bridge.
         
Huerfano County:
--All 3 species of Rosy-Finches were reported by Jensen coming to her feeders 
in La Veta on February 26 and continue at least through March 4.  Also the 
White-winged Dove visits occasionally.   If you want to try to see them contact 
Beverly Jensen at 719-989-1398.
      
Jefferson County:
--A juv GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW was reported by Brown behind the Trading Post at 
Red Rocks on December 19.  The sparrow  was seen on February 27 by Bruening.  
Birders suggest taking birdseed and scattering it to attrack the birds.
--An adult Barrow's Goldeneye was reported by Sanders on Coors Pond on the east 
side of McIntyre, south of Hwy 58 in Golden on March 1.  You will need a scope.
 
Larimer County:
--A pair of White-winged Crossbills was reported by Leatherman in Grandview 
Cemetery in Fort Collins on November 22.  Leatherman reported on March 4 the 
White-winged Crossbill pair continue their nest building activity in the SE 
corner of the cemetery.
 
Logan County:
--A White-winged Dove was reported by Bosley at the corner of 10th Ave & Delmar 
in Sterling on March 4.
 
Mesa County:
--4 Tundra Swans were reported by Korte on February 25 on Dike Road on the way 
to Connected Lakes SP just as the road makes a big curve to the left (west).  
Stop and look north along the river.  Stigen relocated the Tundra Swans on 
March 2.
 
Otero County:
--Floyd reported 1 Greater Roadrunner and 1 White-throated Sparrow on Higbee 
Valley Road (CR 804) on February 28.
 
Prowers County:
--At Willow Creek in Lamar, Floyd reported 2 Red-bellied Woodpeckers, a 
Carolina Wren, and a Northern Cardinal on February 27.
  
Pueblo County:
--A male Long-tailed Duck (Santangelo, January 23) and a male Barrow's 
Goldeneye (Mark Miller, January 31) were still present at Pueblo Reservoir SWA 
on February 18 as reported by Blackburn.   Rich Miller reported seeing the 
Long-tailed Duck on February 24 with a Lesser Black-backed Gull.
--An ad GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL was reported by Percival at the South Shore 
Marina of Pueblo Reservoir on February 6 and was seen again in the same 
location by Rich Miller on February 24.
--An ad MEW GULL was reported by Bill Maynard at Runyon Lake in Pueblo on 
February 27.
--The Northern Cardinal continues at the Stonemore Hills subdivision in Pueblo 
at least through February 27 as reported by Bill Maynard.  The bird was at the 
intersection of the entrance road and Stonemore Drive.
 
Summit County:
--A Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch was reported by Nims on Blue Ridge Road in 
Silverthorne on March 3.
--2 Gray-crowned Rosy-Finches (1 Hepburns) were reported by Nims at Keystone 
Ski Area on March 3.
    
The DFO Field Trip for Saturday, March 6 to the Loveland area
has been cancelled since area lakes are all frozen.
 
The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, March 7 will be to Walden Ponds with the Boulder 
Bird Club.  The trip will be led by Pat Heller.  Meet at 0900 at the Cottonwood 
Marsh parking lot.  Take Arapahoe Road in Boulder north to 75th St, turn north 
onto 75th and watch for signs to Walden Ponds on the left.  Half-day trip; 
bring water and snacks, and dress for weather.
