The Northern cardinal showed himself and briefly sang on the n-w side of
Kalmia/22nd St. before flying over to a backyard btwn Kalmia and Linden
this morning at 10:45.

Speaking of continuing rare birds, the NORTHERN CARDINAL that has been
frequenting the gully near the west end of Hawthorn Dr was singing away
yesterday evening. After parking at the end of Hawthorn, I hiked up the trail
about 100 yards to the fork. The bird was downhill from there in some

investigate. A Northern Cardinal singing atop an oak tree in South
Boulder! Norton St. right now but just flew a block south.

Diana and I saw the the Northern Cardinal in Boulder at 9:30 this morning. He
was at the usual place at the pump house on the Dakota Ridge Trail, just up the
trail from Hawthorn Ave. see map below.

Update to RBA: Peter Gent saw the Northern Cardinal on Dec. 3, at 7:50 am,
right at the pumphouse, in Hawthorne Gulch in Boulder.
