My husband, a casual but observant birder, insists he saw and heard a
singing Cassin's Vireo at Stalker Pond SWA on April 14th. We were with a
group from Boulder Audubon but unfortunately he was the only one to see it.
I am posting it here in case anyone has plans to visit that area. A check
on eBird showed that there have been several sightings in the area since
2013, including a May 1st, 2016 bird at the Wray Fish Hatchery, just north
of Stalker Pond.

He saw the bird in one of the thickets of trees along the foot path on the
north side of the pond about 250 yards from the dam. It flew off in the
direction of the hatchery.
