This will be remembered as a week of wild weather and few birds. When we arrived Monday, the sky was blue but everything else was cloaked in white. Wednesday we were winded out, and Thursday rained out. Total for the 2 days we were open (Monday and Tuesday) was 20 birds, including 2 unusuals for Chatfield - a Grey Flycatcher and a really lovely Marsh Wren. Here's the list for the 2 days: Downy Woodpecker 1 Grey Flycatcher 1 Black-capped Chickadee 2 House Wren 1 Marsh Wren 1 Hermit Thrush 1 American Robin 1 Yellow-rumped Warbler (Myrtle) 1 Yellow-rumped Warbler (Audubon) 4 Spotted Towhee 1 White-crowned Sparrow (Gambels) 3 White-crowned Sparrow (Mountain) 1 Red-winged Blackbird 1 House Finch 1 Hoping for better weather and more birds soon!
