Birders,

Some highlights from a couple days of birding in Colorado included:

Coal Canyon (Mesa County):
0 Chukar
1 Rock Wren
5 wild horses

Confluence Park (Delta County):
0 Barrow's Goldeneye
1 Double-crested Cormorant
1 Western Grebe
1 Marsh Wren

Gunnison County:
About 20 GUNNISON SAGE-GROUSE at the public lek along Waunita Hot
Springs Road.  We found no woodpeckers despite hiking along Sapinero
Mesa Road (CR26) off Route 149.

All 3 rosy-finch species visiting feeders between Gunnison and Crested
Butte.  Included were: 25 Gray-crowned (3 Hepburn's), 25 Brown-capped,
and 1 Black.

Ft. Carson's Turkey Creek Ranch (El Paso County):
3 Lewis's Woodpecker
10 Western Scrub-Jay
Western Bluebird

Douglas County:
There were no longer Barrow's Goldeneyes at Twenty Mile pond in Parker.
