CObirders,

I was with a group of ~12 birders this morning that hiked the White Rocks
trail (trailhead is on Valmont Road between 75th and 95th Streets in
Boulder County) north to the base of the White Rocks. We were very
surprised to have 4 early Tree Swallows fly over the group! We wondered
what they might be eating— later, we saw small “clouds” of gnats(?), the
first I’ve noticed this year.

A Say’s Phoebe was sitting on a mullein where we turned around just before
the trail heads uphill!

It felt and sounded like spring!
