I have not seen this bird for myself, and won't be chasing this bird, as I live in Larimer County. However, I thought this should be passed on so that birders who live nearby can possibly see this bird. I got a second-hand report by way of a friend about a Short-eared Owl that is currently perched in a prarie dog town in Rocky Mountain Arsenal NWR. This friend sent me photos, and it is definitely SEOW. So far no reports that I have seen on ebird or cobirds, but hopefully others can see it becasue of my posting. I am also hopeful it will stop in my county as it works its way north to wherever its headed! Joe Kipper, Fort Collins
