On my way to a funeral (so I couldn’t stop for long) the large cackling and
Canada goose flock around Dodd Reservoir (Diagonal Highway and Niwot/Monarch
Road) had about ten white geese. Close ones were snow goose but there could be
a Ross’s and last week there were three greater white fronted geese( no time
today to scan to check). They can be seen from the Diagonal or Monarch Road.

I acknowledge that I live in the territory of Hinóno’éí (Arapaho), Cheyenne and
Ute Nations, according to the 1851 Treaty of Fort Laramie, and that Colorado’s
Front Range is home to many Native peoples.
