Hello, Birders.

Kei, Hannah, Andrew, and I made a very quick pass by Union Reservoir, Weld 
County, late yesterday afternoon, Saturday, September 3rd. The water is still 
high (shorebirds, blah), but the lake has many, many birds. We saw 2 COMMON 
TERNS out there, uncommon but regular in eastern Colorado at this time of the 
year. My ornithological sixth sense, which is fallible, tells me that something 
"good" is out there. In other words, it might be worth checking out Union Rez 
at some point during the remainder of this Labor Day weekend.


Earlier in the day, by the way, we had a nice visit to the Cheyenne area, 
Laramie County, Wyoming. Just as Union Rez is honorary Boulder County, so 
Laramie County is honorary Colorado. Here's our trip report, if anybody's
