2017-06-24 Thread Rachel
COBirders, I just had multiple singing Dickcissel’s at the intersection of Larimer County Road 80 & 19. I also heard and saw several more west of 19 on Rd. 80. This has been a very reliable spot for them in past years in Larimer. --- Rachel Hopper Ft. Collins. CO

I do not know of a binocular repair firm in the Denver area, but Cory Suddarth in OK has a national (and even international) reputation. If you have a pair of high quality binoculars, I think it would be well worth considering shipping them to him. Lots of info at:

[cobirds] Singing male yellow-rumped warbler, Lory State Park, Larimer Country

2017-06-24 Thread Libby Edwards
This singing male (Audubon's) was in full mating colors and sang continuously for at least an hour at the top of the Mill Creek Trail in Lory State Park. Can anyone tell me if this is normal for a yellow-rumped to be here (about 6500 ft) at this time and looking for a mate? Other birds seen were

[cobirds] Re: White Rocks Trail - and a mystery bird

This morning along the Eagle Trail (west of Boulder Reservoir), about 600m from the trailhead I observed a northern mockingbird for about two minutes. It was flying about and perching on agave stalks. Did not see where it went to after that. Happy birding, Laura Steadman Boulder -- You received
