We currently have 2 loons with fishing line, lures or hooks in their bills
here in the Denver area. Chatfield has a Pacific Loon with fishing gear in
it’s bill. Several birders have notified the park office and they said that
they couldn’t get a boat out to do a rescue because of the ice at the
Birders, Because of tomorrow's harsh conditions upslope, [ wind gusts to
40 MPH , we will proceed from Sandstone Park, Lyons to Old South St. Vrain
Road for the walk. The meet up time of 9am remains same. Hope to see some
of you in Lyons. Carl

Al Levantin and I watched the adult male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (present for
2nd winter running) yesterday, Friday Jan 10th, in Centennial Park,
Carbondale, on the corner of 8th and Main, in the same tree it favoured all
last winter.
