At 06:15 am I arrived at Barr Lake just as the Great Eastern Sun began to rise.
With the sun behind me I began to look for shorebirds along the southeastern
shore. Most of the shorebirds were in there juvenile, neat and tidy appearing
plumage.

Well this fall has been nothing short of phenomenal as far as bird
migration is concerned. The numbers and assortments have been astounding.
Today, fumbling forward with numerous gadgets hung around my neck, I

I want to issue a word of caution when identifying swallows of the genus
Petrochelidon (Cliff and Cave Swallow as we know them in English). In June
through at least early September, millions upon millions of young Cliff
Swallows whom have not fully attained adult
