This evening around 615pm, I decided to run to Red Rocks and see if Mike
Henwood's reported Fox Sparrow was still there. After throwing down a millet

there, I saw a Peregrine Falcon, a Great Horned Owl sitting on the rock

Scaup, and a Goldeneye were still around. A male Wood Duck in its

I've had a House Wren for two days in my yd., singing away, 4/13 & 4/14. Last
year 3 different Wrens were nesting in boxes at the same time. These guys are
great as far as being like a pesticide. They eat mites, aphids, and other
insects which can be bothersome to garden plants. Marston Rese
South of the Prospect Park Bridge across the walking path, a FOY House Wren

Hello All,
Arrived at Red Rocks early this morning -6:30 am- and observed the

Hi COBirders
Hey, finally something to count. Ahead of the system this morning, from about
10:30-12:00, raptors were migrating! Most were high and distant, away from the

Found a "new" Mountain Plover just down the road from my house ... From WCR
100/33 continue east on WCR 100 about .5m to last house on north. They
have a "perfect" plover habitit (pasture) that runs east to an old wooden
bridge. I found a plover walking around on the north edge of the pasture
During the CFO Board meeting we were interrupted by a calling Bewick's Wren

At 1030am this morning, an adult LAUGHING GULL was flying by at North Picnic
Road at Pueblo Reservoir (Pueblo County). The bird was flying west. I didn't
see it again, so it could be anywhere. A few other year birds for me this
morning, below Pueblo Reservoir dam were Cinnamon Teal (finally),
There was a male Red-breasted Merganser in breeding plumage swimming close
to the dirt parking lot at Big Johnson reservoir today at 9:30 AM.
There were also some Horned Grebes in breeding plumage in the same area.
Further out on the water were a couple Franklin's Gulls.
