A *Barn Owl* is again present and calling in flight around my home,
following the detection I reported on 5/9. This time it flew around my home
area for about 10 min. at least, calling at intervals. I made two iPhone
recordings that are on this eBird checklist:
There were 2 Dippers this afternoon near the "mill pond" by the first
bridge on the bike path west of Eban Fine Park. We listened for Poor Wills
at dusk tonight at Settler's Park, but did not hear any. I did hear a Wild
Turkey gobbling, which surprised me, as I've never seen one nearby, along

Just now my brother and I had a breeding plumaged SNOWY PLOVER on the mudflats

tomorrow.
Good Birding,

Bill Maynard and I saw an adult male a Baltimore Oriole this morning at
Fountain Creek Regional Park, El Paso County. The bird was along warbler
alley south of Fountain Creek Nature Center. This species is pretty rare
this far west. Photographs were taken.

Pueblo West,
The male Bay Breasted Warbler continues at Crow Valley Campground at
noon today. I found it in the northwest corner of the campground in the
trees
above the creek behind and just to the west of the group picnic structure.
It
was enjoyed by several other birders looking for it.

Got some photos of a Swainson's Thrush (yard bird) at our house this
morning. Also, the House Wren is in her final stages of nest building in
our yard. She is using some down feathers we put out for her. Spring is
fun. Photos in list.

Both plovers are in the same spot at Union Reservoir. (NW corner, sitting down
in a rivulet about 30 yards from shore.)
