A few highlights from below the dam at Two Buttes Reservoir, Baca County
this morning. Western Palm Warbler, Winter Wren, juvenile Yellow-bellied
Sapsucker, 2 White-throated Sparrows, 3 Townsend's Warblers, 2 Mountain
Chickadees, a few Woodhouse's Scrub-Jays.

Shockingly, it was sharing the tree with a Northern pygmy owl that was

Yesterday was such a continuation of our recent slow days that I forgot to
post! But, catching up on my day off, here is the breakdown for the 15 new

Weekend report ...
- At the house, FINALLY, a Black-capped Chickadee #137 (Sunday) calling
from windbreak, White-winged Dove continues (Today), 12 Pine Siskin (Last
three days including this morning).
- Weld County Landfill (Sunday), hundreds of gulls in fallow field to
COBirders-- Sorry, our cabin is in northwest Custer County not northeast,
as I posted last night.
