Two early evenings ago, I had a male Ring-necked Pheasant strut through my 
backyard.  I was hoping he would stop at the close by birdfeeder but he headed 
instead for a large brush pile we have in an outlaying area of our yard. 

 Another evening this week, a small flock of snowy (or great) egrets flew over. 
 They were too high to properly judge size or color of their legs.  The 
reservoir behind our house doesn't have the levels of water yet it did last 
Spring, so I am not seeing up close the variety of waterfowl it has previously 
attracted.
