ADAMS COUNTY:
--A White-eyed Vireo was reported by Adam Vesely at Barr Lake SP on May 2.
It was about 150 yrds N of footbridge across from Visitors Center.  On May
3, Chris Goulart refound the White-eyed Vireo at Barr Lake SP.

BACA COUNTY:
--On April 18, Matt Clark reported 3 Canyon Towhees at Cottonwood Canyon.
On April 25, Bill Blackburn reported Canyon Towhee at Cottonwood Canyon.
--On April 25, Bill Blackburn reported Mountain Plover between Two Buttes
and Turks Pond SWA.
--A soaring Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Bill Blackburn over
Springfield on April 25.
--A Blue-headed Vireo was reported by Kilpatrick, Gilbert, and Walbek at
Two Buttes SWA on May 3.

BOULDER COUNTY:
--On April 12, Waltman reported Black Phoebe at 75th St Bridge over Boulder
Creek.  On April 15, Minner-Lee reported Black Phoebe at 75th St and
Boulder Creek.  On April 19, Burke reported Black Phoebe at 75th St and
Boulder Creek.
On April 24, Joan Coxe reported Black Phobe at 75th St and Boulder Creek.
On April 25, Bill Kaempfer reported Black and Eastern Phoebe at 75th St and
Boulder Creek.  On April 29, Kris and Robert King reported Black Phoebe at
75th St and Boulder Creek.  On May 2, Christine Snitkin reported Black
Phoebe at 75th St and Boulder Creek.
--A Slate-colored Fox Sparrow was reported by Dowell on Skunk Canyon Trails
on April 21.  On April 22, Minner-Lee reported Fox Sparrow at Skunk Canyon
Trails.  On April 29, Dowell reported Slate-colored Fox Sparrow on Skunk
Canyon Trails.
--A Black Phoebe was reported by Paula Hansley at Walden Ponds on April 25.
--A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by Carl Starace flying over Rabbit
Mountain on April 25.
--A Gray Flycatcher was reported by Mark Minner-Lee on the NW side of
Waneka Lake on April 25.

CONEJOS COUNTY:
--On April 27, Rawinski reported ROCK WREN and numerous Sagebrush Sparrows
in John James Canyon.

DENVER COUNTY:
--A Caspian Tern was reported by Suddjian at Marston Reservoir on April 27.
--A Whimbrel was reported by Matt Clark at Marston Reservoir on April 28.
On April 29 at Marston Reservoir at the west end Matt Clark reported 4
Whimbrel.
--A Broad-winged Hawk was reported by J Del Rosso at Denver Botanic Garden
on May 3.
--A Rock Wren was reported by J Del Rosso at Denver Botanic Garden on May 3.

DOUGLAS COUNTY:
--A pair of Eastern Phoebe was reported by Suddjian at Plum Creek near the
picnic area at Chatfield on April 21.  An Eastern Phoebe was reported by
Kibbe at Plum Creek Detla on April 23.  On April 30, Norm Lewis reported
Eastern Phoebe at Plum Creek Delta at Chatfield SP.
--3 Eastern Phoebes were reported by Joey Kellner at Chatfield SP on April
25.  An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Candice Johnson at Chatfield SP on
April 28.  2 Eastern Phoebe were reported by Scott Manwaring upstream from
Kingfisher Bridge on May 2.  On May 3, an Eastern Phoebe was reported by
Halverstadt over the reservoir at Chatfield SP.
--A Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was reported by Paul Schlagbaum at Chatfield
near the Plum Creek picnic area on May 1.  The
flycatcher has been reported by many birders, most in the Plum Creek
Natural Area vicinity on May 1.

EAGLE COUNTY:
--5 Barrow's Goldeneyes were reported by Dick Filby at Spring Park
Reservoir on April 27.

EL PASO COUNTY:
--A Whimbrel and Long-billed Curlew were found by Bill Maynard at Big
Johnson for comparison on April 28.  John Drummond reported a Caspian Tern
at Big Johnson on April 28.  On April 28, Mark Petrson reported a Snowy
Plover at Big Johnson.  On April 29 at Big Johnson, Cici Lee reported Snowy
Plover and Whimbrel.  On April 30, Sam Fason reported Snowy Plover at Big
Johnson.  On May 2, David Tonnessen reported Snowy Plover at Big Johnson.
On May 3, Mel Goff reported Snowy Plover at Big Johnson.
--A Caspian Tern was reported by Dale Adams at Prospect Lake in Colorado
Springs on April 29.
--A Prairie Warbler was banded by Gobris at Chico Basin on April 38.  A
Prairie Warbler was reported by Monday Birders at Chico Basin Ranch (fee
area) in wooded areas on April 29.  On May 2, Prairie Warbler continued to
be seen around the banding station at Chico Basin Ranch.  On May 1, Gobris
banded Gray and Least Flycatcher at Chico Basin Ranch.
--A f Painted Bunting was banded by Steve Brown at Clear Springs Ranch on
May 3.
--A singing Yellow-throated Vireo was reported by David Tonnessen at Area
3, Fountain Creek RP on May 3.

GILPIN COUNTY:
--On April 25, Bill Kaempfer reported 3 singing Fox Sparrows on East Portal
Road heading west to Rollinsville.  2 where about a mile east of Tolland.

GUNNISON COUNTY:
--A ROCK WREN was reported by Marcel Such at Blue Mesa Reservoir - eastern
portion on April 28.

JACKSON COUNTY:
--A singing Fox Sparrow was reported by Hundertmark at Moose Visitor Center
on April 30.

JEFFERSON COUNTY:
--On April 18, Drummond reported Eastern Phoebe downstream of Kingfisher
Bridge at Chatfield.  On April 21, Suddjian reported a pair of Eastern
Phoebe at Kingfisher Bridge.  On April 27, Suddjian reported Eastern Phoebe
and Least Flycatcher downstream from Kingfisher Bridge.
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Alec Hopping at Chatfield SP at Deer
Creek on April 24.
--A Golden-winged Warbler was reported by Art Hudak at Main Reservoir on
the west side along trail where houses are parallel with reservoir.  Follow
trail until you come to a bench on the left.  The warbler was about 50 '
from the bench.  On April 26, Cartensen reported Golden-winged Warbler at
Main Reservoir.
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Matt Clark at the Swim Beach at
Chatfield on April 26.
--An Eastern Phoebe was reported by Michael Kiessig at Denver Botanic
Gardens at Chatfield on May 3.

KIT CARSON COUNTY:
--At Flager SWA on April 26, Dowell reported 5 Field Sparrows and a Least
Flycatcher.

LA PLATA COUNTY:
--A LUCY'S WARBLER was reported by Riley Morris on the  Animas Trail across
from the La Plata County Fairground on April 23.  On April 24, Susan
Allerton relocated the LUCY'S WARBLER on the Animas River Trail, S of river
trail parking area off 29th St,
--A Green Heron was reported by Jim Beatty at Pastorius Reservoir on April
25.  It was flushed from the inlet channel.

LARIMER COUNTY:
--A Lesser Black-backed Gull was reported by David Wade at Rawhide Energy
Station/Hamilton Reservoir on April 24.
--2 ROCK WRENS were reported by David Wade on CR 5 east of Rawhide Power
Plant on April 24.
--2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls (1 ad, 1 2nd-cyc) were reported by Nick Komar
at the Larimer County Landfill on April 25.
--A Slate-colored Fox Sparrow was reported by Eric DeFonso at Rocky Mt NP
on the Cub Lake Trail in Moraine Park on April 25.
--Rock Wrens were reported by Nick Komar at Dixon Reservoir on April 25.
--An Eastern Phoebe was heard in Loveland at intersection of Taft and 14th
on April 27 by Sean Walters.
--A Gray Flycatcher was reported by TC Walker at Dixon Reservoir on April
29.

MESA COUNTY:
--A Caspian Tern was reported by Lee Stigen flying around larger ponds
along the bike path halfway to Walter Walker Wildlife Area on May 3.
Stigen also reported Black Phoebe at near Phoebe Rock at Connected Lakes on
May 3.

MONTEZUMA COUNTY:
--3 LUCY'S WARBLERS were reported by Gwen Moore in Yellowjacket Canyon on
May 2.

MORGAN COUNTY:
--On April 25, Dave Dowell reported 5 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 1
1st-yr Thayer's Gull at Jackson Lake SP.

OTERO COUNTY:
--12 Snowy Plovers were reported by Bill Blackburn at Cheraw Reservoir on
April 25.  7 Snowy Plovers were reported by Dale Adams at Cheraw Reservoir
on May 1.
--Snowy Plovers were reported by Bill Blackburn at Lake Holbrook on April
26.
--A HUDSONIAN GODWIT was reported by Stan Oswald at Holbrook Reservoir on
April 27.

PARK COUNTY:
A ROCK WREN was reported by Sue Riffe on the SE side of Antero Reservoir on
April 24.

PROWERS COUNTY:
--A pair of Northern Cardinals was reported by Dan Stringer at Lamar
Community College Woods (LCCW) on April 22.  On April 26, Leatherman
reported 2 pairs of Northern Cardinals and a Red-bellied Woodpecker at
LCCW.  On April 27, Leatherman reported Northern Cardinals
--On April 26, Percival reported White-eyed Vireo and Broad-winged Hawk at
LCCW. On April 27, Leatherman reported White-eyed Vireo, Broad-winged Hawk,
and nesting Red-bellied Woodpecker at LCCW.  On May 1, Dale Adams reported
Red-bellied Woodpecker and Broad-winged Hawk at LCCW.
--A fly-over ad Laughing Gull was reported by Leatherman at North Gateway
Park in Lamar on April 26.
--On April 27, Leatherman reported a nesting Red-bellied Woodpecker on the
east side of Willow Creek Park in Lamar.

PUEBLO COUNTY:
--A possible VAUX'S SWIFT was reported by Brandon Percival below Pueblo
Reservoir dam west of Cottonwood Picnic Area on the S side of the River on
April 28.  If accepted this would be the first state record for VAUX'S
SWIFT.
--A Yellow-throated Vireo was reported by Brandon Percival at Rose Lawn
Cemetery in Blende on May 2.  It was along trees by pond in SW part of
Cemetery.

RIO GRANDE COUNTY:
--The Black BRANT continues at Monte Vista NWR as of April 27 as reported
by Rawinski.  It was seen off 8S location with Cacking and Canada Geese.
--An ad m Summer Tanager was found by Jerry Poe at Home Lake in Crabapple
Trees on May 2.

SAN MIGUEL COUNTY:
--A Baltimore Oriole was reported by Coen Dexter in Placerville on April 30.

WELD COUNTY:
--A singing m Northern Cardinal was reported by Mlodinow at Crow Valley CG
in the SW corner on May 3.
--5 Whimbrel were reported by Mlodinow at Lower Latham on the east side on
May 3.

YUMA COUNTY:
--On May 2, Sue Riffe reported ALDER FLYCATCHER and Red-headed Woodpecker
on CR 35 1/2 W of Laird.

The DFO Field Trip for Sunday, May 10 will be to Cherry Creek SP Wetlands
led by Karen von Saltza (kvonsaltza AT yahoo.com, 303-941-4881).  Meet the
leader at the Prairie Loop lot in Cherry Creek SP.  From either park
entrance follow Lake View Rd to the Prairie Loop that is locat at the south
rim of the reservoir.  State Parks Pass or day pass required.
This is a half-day trip pass through many diverse, habitats in three
miles.  Trails could be slippery, so dress accordingly.  Bring water and
snacks;  lunch optionla  Please register online or contact leader to
register.
