Saturday, June 9         McCabe Meadows
Leader: Mary Cay Burger 
Join us for a half day trip to McCabe Meadows Park – highlighting nesting 
birds in a riparian habitat.   This park was formerly known as a Parker 
Regional Park.   Access the park by driving south on Parker Road from Cherry 
Creek State Park.   Cross Main Street in Parker (still going south).   McCabe 
Meadows is located on the west side of Parker Road about a mile south of Parker
’s Main Street.   For a visual there is a helpful map found at the link 
below.   Meet leader at 7:30 am at the park.   We will bird until about noon.   
Bring water, hat, snack.

Sunday, June 10         Pine/Bailey Areas

Meet leader on the east side of the RTD Park-n-Ride lot at South Wadsworth 
Blvd. and Hampden (Hwy. 285) at 06:30.   This lot is on the south side of 
Hampden and the west side of Wadsworth.   Alternative: meet the group at 07:10 
at the Pine Junction Country Store on the west side of Hwy. 285 at the 
stoplight in Pine Junction.   Bring lunch and water for a fun filled day 
chasing 
mountain birds from Pine Valley Ranch to Wellington Lake and ending with 
the Bailey Heron Rookery.   All day trip; bring clothing for changeable 
mountain weather.
