Early this morning (Apr 12) I put out a hummer feeder for the first time at
our new home, then I had to be away all day, but returning this evening a
male BROAD-TAILED HUMMINGBIRD made his debut. On Apr 10 a CHIPPING SPARROW
was at the feeding station, and yesterday there was a WHITE-CROWNED
SPARROW, which had not been evident over the prior 6 weeks.

A pair of COOPER'S HAWKS is living in some trees a few blocks down the
road. I see one or both of them daily in their favorite willow, perched
right beside the road as I drive by.
