Many thanks

hoping it was doing okay, since no has posted in quite a few days about it.

We came home about 4:15 this afternoon from the Black Forest Christmas Bird
Count -- and saw 3 birds perched on a power line near the beginning of Willow
Lake Drive (west 1/2 mile & south 1 mile from downtown Franktown [the traffic
light]). They sorted out as one Eastern Bluebird, one Mountain
I went out after work today to Golden Ponds and saw 2, possibly 3 (only saw
2 at the same time), tan-striped White-throated Sparrows in the cattails
along the Greenway trail heading off to the east. They were hanging out
with a cluster of Song Sparrows and American Tree Sparrows. Pictures
Finally saw my first Greater Roadrunner in El Paso County, it was on
Meridian Road, just South of Hanover Road, first on East side of road, then
west, then back East. Three others birders also got to see it.

I saw the Thrush at 0900 and was able to show another birder. There are
pull-outs along the road to Seven Falls from Starsmore. It was between 3
and 4 on the edge of the stream near an open water patch. It was with a
flock of Robins. Several other species were drinking there also.

I came across a nice flock of about 100-120 Rosy Finches south of Victor
this afternoon. There were at least 30 Black's that were easily
distinguished from the others. I could id about 10 Brown-capped and 10
Gray-crowned, and the others were moving about too much to see them clearly
enough to
