Saw my FOS Swainson's hawk this afternoon, 3:10 p.m, while going north on
Kipling, just north of Ridge Rd. Took me three good looks to ID him, as he was
repeatedly stooping out of the sky to harass a slow-moving red tail. It's now
officially spring in my book!

On our way south to try for the Vermillion Flycatcher we had our FOS Turkey
Vultures on I25 near the Air Force Academy. Then on Hanover Road about 1000
feet west of De Groot Road on south side we had 2 singing Cassin’s Sparrows
and a Sage Thrasher. Got recordings for the list of the sparrows. Then
Hi all
Just got a call from my wife and she is reporting a Gambel's Quail in our
backyard at our ground feeders. Would this be considered an escapee-or
wild? Definitely a new yard bird! :-)
She is trying to capture photo with her film camera. I'm considering
driving home to photo it.
Moving between Hanover Fire Station and Hanover cChurch, at the corner of
Peyton Hwy and Hanover Road.

I just heard a Northern Cardinal singing in the vicinity of Melody Park
(16th and Kingwood) in north Boulder. It may be the same bird that has
been reported in several areas on this side of town over the past several
years, although there were no reports from 2017, as far as I read or
heard.
Just saw one Turkey Vulture blowing around in the wind over intersection of
Hwy36 & Hwy66 in Lyons. And one more flying over Pinewood Springs.
More signs of spring!
