This isa great place for birds. The newest stretch of the auto route was open 
all of 2017. Tons of raptors, and in the spring and summer there are some 
really great birds on that stretch: Orioles, Burrowing Owls, Horned 
Larks,Grasshopper Sparrows, Vesper Sparrows, woodpeckers, nuthatches...and the 
list goes on and on! Once spring gets here, you'll want to drive very slow so 
you don't miss anything!
