I've now got the portal kind of running: it displays
and links seem to be working..but portlets aren't
displayed, only a customize info and logout link for
each portlet. The URL to try it is

Ok, I've done the following:
1) Gotten most recent version of Jetty, installed
2) Extracted WAR file from CVS snapshot int
JETTY_HOME/webapps/cocoon
3) Built snapshot
4) Copied all jar files from cor, endorsed, and
optional subdir of lib dir in build tree to
JETTY_HOME/webapps/cocoon/WEB-INF/lib
5)
On further examination of the logs and directory
structure I found the following error message in the
log:

I downloaded several of the snapshots and have built
successfully, and installed successfully. When I try
to access URL I get Class Not Found exception (see
below). I'm running Tomcat 5 and everything else in
Tomcat works fine.

was caused by conflicting classes in logkit-1.0b4.jar and velocity-1.1.jar,
which includes some classes from the packae org.apach
