Congratulations on building Avalon!
Your experience seems to confirm that Avalon is the heart of the
matter. One test I carried out when I was having problems was to unpack
the avalon JAR files and put the classes directly into the WEB-
INF/classes directory on the off-chance that
good over the
weekend ;-)
