ok, well I reloaded box from redhat 7.0 cd
I did not do updates Nor did I make a new kernel.
I still needed to load the db-dev rpm but the make still
does NOT work.
This is stock distribution.
Everything compiles except coda and it bails on olist.c
says ***[Olist.O] Error 1

You can try to use gcc 2.95.2 instead of 2.96 installed on RedHat 7.x.
gcc 2.96 is beta.
