Hi,
I have compiled CODA with support for Kerberos 5 in a Red Hat Linux 8.0 (GCC
3.2), but when I have tried to use it, I have got these lines ('coda' is the
host-name of the CODA server, and 'rafa' is a tested CODA user and K

Try 'configure --with-crypto', the kerberos intergration was cleaned up
a lot
Hi,
I'm trying to get coda working with kerberos5 but am not having much success.
I've followd the instructions in README.kerberos.
When I run
clog -kerberos5
I get
"Unsupported authentication type"
I've noticed that none of the binaries created in the auth2 subdir (auth2,
clog,

I am not fully clear on the details below of the AFS changes for
kerberos 5, but I thought it would be helpful for coda folks to be
aware of what's going on (it was news to me).

Hi all,
is there any step by step guride for setting up coda with kerberos?
or anyone can tell me HOWTO, I already have a mit krb5 DB.
Thanks

I'm playing on setting up a coda system that user Kerberos and
disconnected operation is an important feature. Are there any roadblocks I
should be aware of?

You _really_ don't want to do this. See previous traffic on this list,
and some of the documents on the (current) state of Coda security.

Hi!
Is there a PAM module that will authenticate users against coda auth
server? Or is there kerberos/NIS(ack) support for coda? The goal is to get
users logged into coda at the same time as they log into client system.

I have installed coda-5.3.7 on an SMP Linux 2.2.14 machine based on Red

If I misunderstood, and you've already done this, I don't understand
why you need a sample config file. I believe coda is simply a service
that uses kerberos, and doesn't impact co
both the client and server machines.. so kerberos
itself looks to be ok.

Quick question, do I need to recompile the coda server for kerberos
support to work, or just the client (venus) and generate kclog?
Also does anyone have a login or radius program which will inject kerberos
principles into the database, as a method of converting from /etc/shadow?

Due to changes in US policy on encryption is it possible now to export
kerberos support for coda?

Has anyone succeeded in using coda with Kerberos 5? (I'm
actually using heimdal-0.2n.) I managed to get it to compile
with some hacking, but I can't seem to authenticate using
kclog, though kinit works perfectly well. I should say I'm

I've been trying to find documentation on this fruitlessly, but I was
wondering if someone could give me an example of the principals which need
to be setup on a Kerberos 5 server for the coda5 server, and what kind of

Hi
I have been planning to run kerberized coda in a FreeBSD and Linux
shop. I have also been planning to run Kerberos (on the grounds that,
if I'm going to have network authentication, it might as well be
something that I can use for other things).
Now I'm told that I'm g

Good questions, Robert will have to be consulted to find out what we did
exactly and how it can be fixed.

There are two parts to this story:
1. setting up a Kerberos 5 server - I found this hard.
2. setting up our stuff - this should become a short section in the Coda
HOWTO.
