means that any major outages for OSU's networks will affect
code4lib.org sites not hosted at OSU (the journal, etc.).

I'm doing some maintenance later tonight, and the code4lib server is due for a
reboot to activate the latest kernel. It shouldn't be down for long. I don't
have an exact timeframe right now, but it might be down for a couple minutes
sometime between 8pm-10pm Pacific time.

I need to move the server that hosts the code4lib.org website into another rack
to make room for some other equipment, when is a good time to do this?

With redundant power supplies and trunked network interfaces I could do it with
zero downtime. But I'm lazy. :)

4TB using bzip2 -9. It will require some intermediate decompression
when someone needs to use them, but it's a lot less expensive to store
4TB than 20TB. You could even decompress the files on-the-fly without
too much effort.

out e-mail. The problem is that Sendmail refuses to perform DNS
lookups, so all messages bounce with 'host unknown' errors. I'm
looking into the problem. In the meantime, send a message to the list
and one of us will work with you to get a new password set for you.
