As alegislative branch agency within the Library of Congress, CRS has been a valued and respectedresource on Capitol Hill for nearly a century. Volunteers are needed to develop a photographic database for the CRS Centennial (1914-2014) using materials from the Congressional Research Service, Prints and PhotographsDivision, Manuscript Division and other collections from the Library of Congress. Volunteers will compile, organize, scan, and catalog images from these various collections.CRS is looking for highly skilled students studying library and information science, Americanhistory and U.S. politics, computer programming, archives, digital photography, etc. for a projectbeginning March 2013 through the end of August 2013. Although most volunteer interns are graduate or law students, undergraduate students withexceptional academic talent are also welcome to apply. This is a great opportunity for highlymotivated individuals to earn credit hours working on this digital project that will be a part of theLibrary's permanent collection. Volunteer interns must be US Citizens, and should be available at least three days a week, Monday through Friday, for a three month period.
