Piggybacking on the topic...what about transcription services for .wav files?
Same companies/services as video or different? We have a collection of about
40 interviews and I think it would be a bonus to include transcripts when we
upload them to our web site.

At Temple University we have been using Automatic Synch for a couple years.
They are a little pricy per minute, but the transcription system integrated
very well with the University's centrally managed Ensemble video serving set
up. The convenience simply cannot be beat when you have clips
We¹ve had good experience with just using our student employees. They get
quite fast at it and become content experts at the same time, which comes
in really handy if the content is user research and the like.

I saw lightning talks on this audio transcription software (ResCarta) at
the last two Code4Lib Cons and it looks pretty awesome, although I
haven't had a reason to use it yet.
