Duration: March 2015 - October 2015

Duties include, but not limited to:

   - Oversee the workflow of the cataloging unit (1 part-time assistant and
   2 volunteers)
   - Responsible for cataloging and physically processing all incoming
   items, making resources searchable, accessible, and shelf-ready.
   - Input digital objects and create metadata for the DAM, CONTENTdm

Essential Functions:

   - Generate monthly reports and statistics for Koha and CONTENT dm
   - Apply LC call numbers and subject headings to original cataloging
   - Search, enrich, and download records from OCLC Connexion
   - Carry out catalog maintenance projects, as assigned
   - Follows established protocols and standards; reviews work of
   cataloging assistant
   - Maintain a workflow of assignments to the cataloging assistant and
   volunteers
   - Create collections for new groups of digital objects in CONTENT dm

Required Qualifications:

   - MLS or equivalent
   - 1-3 years cataloging experience
   - Experience cataloging with an integrated library system; Liblime Koha
   preferred
   - Ability to perform work independently as well as part of a n
   integrated team
   - Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to
   meet deadlines
   - Basic knowledge of current descriptive and subject cataloging
   practices and for coding bibliographic records in MARC format
   - Knowledge of Cataloger's Desktop preferred

Required experience:

   - Masters in Library Science or equiv: 1 year

management of a range of digital assets, including Powerpoint
presentations, videos, and photographs. Our client is looking for somebody
to bring order to its digital assets in a way that is sustainable within
the workflow and technological footprint of the organization. The ideal
candidate should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and
must be as comfortable working with people as technology.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

* Manage Powerpoint online slide library and develop a practical system for
tagging and organizing the slides

* Consult with and train staff on the usage of the slide library

*Conduct a broad inventory of digital assets stored throughout the
organization

* Evangelize solutions to expand usage and reinvent its management of
digital assets

*Develop and/or adopt metadata standards for digital assets and train staff
on their proper use

*Develop policies and procedures for the ingest of digital assets into the
DAMS and monitor compliance

*Clearly present proposals, status, and solutions to multiple levels of the
staff

record of successful projects under your belt. You understand a wide-range
of technologies, have deep knowledge of industry best practices and can

Education:

MLIS or equivalent is preferred.

environment. Proven ability to work across global IT teams and with vendor
tech support. Knowledge of a CMS system, preferably DRUPAL. An

  QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors’ degree.

- Knowledgeable of bibliographic metadata standards (e.g., MARC) or
