It does seem that crafting our own pan-unicode font is a job we don't really
want
to attempt. I'm taking a closer look at our software stack and think I might be
able to alter a library to make it work with multiple fonts. (xhtml2pdf seems

We're having some fun with unicode characters in PDF generation. We have a
process that automatically generates a pdf from XML input. The tool stack
doesn't support multiple fonts for displaying different codepoints so we need a
good pan-unicode font to bundle with the pdfs.
