Hi all,
If you are so inclined, please send me a note with your favorite moments
/ pictures from code4lib.conf 2008. I'll be making a mashup video before
we get too far away from it all...

The video editing is now finished, after various nefarious setbacks. The
video is available here for the time being:

Ryan has most of it uploaded to Google and will soon have it all
embedded on code4lib.org.

Hi all,
Video is a little over half done. Thanks to Ryan Eby for his support,
doing all the trouble prone uploading to Google. Day one is on
code4lib.org, linked in the schedule, and day 2 is part way. The first
keynotes and a few more are on archive.org, which will catch up later.
Sorry it is
Hi everyone,
If you even had slides for a lightning talk (or pictures, or anything
other than a live demo), I want 'em! It makes a huge difference with
readability on the video. So, if you didn't notice my email before,
please notice this one, and send it to me.
Everyone will thank you,
If anyone hasn't already loaded their presentation slides on
code4lib.org, please send them to me! I will use them in the video and
upload them as well.

Noel

How hard it is, sometimes, to trust the evidence
If anyone is looking for TextMate on Windows, this editor is attempting
to be just that, with built in unix scripting etc. It supports all
TextMate bundles.

I still have the *avi and *mp4 files from last year. Perhaps those
should get posted there as well.

In IRC a few of us kicked around the idea of uploading the video to the

this is not required.
Thanks for your assistance!

You are all certainly welcome. I'm glad to be able to do the video.
Thanks are due to Dan Scott and Karen Schneider for bringing their
cameras and providing tapes. Karen shot the first 1.5 days of video
too. Ryan Eby has done pretty much all the work getting the files on
Google and posting /

Mashup ideas: I will probably, some time next week, do a mashup of the
conference. If there are any fun quotes or other things people remember
that ought to be in there, let me know. I'll grab photos from flicker
(send others if you have 'em.)

Day 1 is finally all encoded and posted here (temporarily):
http://pierce.eou.edu/code4lib
Several from Day 2 are there too. They are all, as time permits, being
mirrored by Ryan Eby, uploaded to google video, and embedded on
code4lib.org. eby++.

. People came forward to do it, and are
still
working to complete it.
At minimum, Karen Schneider, Noel Peden, and Ryan Eby have been involved
with taping, editing, and mounting on the web all of the talks from the
conference. Others have also done bits here and there. It has been
wonderful
to watch
with ftp or
scp. I could do that if I had access.
Is there anyone who did not sign a release form?

Roy / others,
Where do we want to post the videos? Where are the slides going? I was
assuming we'd have all the files on the wiki conference page
(http://code4lib.org/trac/wiki/c4l2007). I emailed Ed and he thinks
there's enough room for the larger format videos
not want your presentation posted (lightning
talks included) please let me know. Also, Roy/Edward, could you let me
know who has given a release agreement?
Thanks,

Really I was only asking for a short 5 second or less blurb for a title
on the front of each movie. Nothing fancy. Rob Styles suggested a
mashup with music. If I had had time I would have done one for the last
day of the conference.

Hi all,
I'm finally back the office today and the videos are in process... I'm
not sure where they'll go, but they'll be up somewhere.
BTW, if anybody has any ideas for royalty free title music (a short 3+
second thing), I'm open. I'll whip up something if needed.
