Haematological Sciences holds a large and unique resource of malignancy, transplant and genetic data from numerous sources, nationally and internationally, and you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of systems holding these complex data. You will be responsible for continued systems development, which will involve data modelling, implementation, data migration and cleaning. You will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject or have extensive experience of managing complex datasets, ideally within a relevant research setting, with ability to appreciate scientific concepts and be experienced with a thorough understanding of data management, relational database design and development from conceptual modelling to implementation as well as experience of querying databases in a native database environment. You will also have excellent oral communication and writing skills, problem- solving skills, initiative, the ability to plan, excellent organisational skills and have meticulous attention to detail.
