Brian,
We had a little bit of a problem with flooding clients who used proxys. The channel
is now open

The Difference between a bug and a feature exists in the eye of the user.
Nobody is going to win this pointless argument. Now that we all understand
the problem, lets move on :)

My apologies. That ban was added to deal with a load of idiot flooders and
I forgot to take it back off - it has been removed now.

[13:43] -X- You have insufficient access to remove the ban
*!*@dialup-65.57.34.26.Dial1.Phoenix1.Le
But X did *NOT* notify me that I could not remove the ban in X. It said it
removed the ban, when in actual fact, it did not.
X should not notify a user that a ban is removed, unless that ban is able to
be, and is, removed. And if it is removing the channel ban, rather than the
one in X's db banl
Ack, is #coder-com completely closed to ALL *!~*@* users now?

this has not changed since the old X... you have enough access to remove the
ban on the channel but not enough access to remove the ban in X, result, X
removes the channel, but notify's you that you cannot remove the ban in X.

The bans were placed with an access higher than yours. You then tried
to remove it and couldn't, but X let you unset the ban from the channel
(since
what i think is happening there. it is removing the channel ban. But you
dont have access to remove it from X's banlist
