Well the newer ircd's use a new configfile for

This is the maximum number of seconds to wait for the ident lookup and
the DNS query to succeed. On older (pre 2.10.11.06) servers this was
hard coded to 60 seconds.
So,
"AUTH_TIMEOUT" = "1"; or
'm mainly waiting
for a new ircu version before this is stable.
Anyways, it sounds like something you'd want..
