had suggested something like
SpamAssassin to user-com@, but that was shot down too. It's a very
effective solution, and can even work with RBLs such as ordb.org.

ome new code to try updating that at the
moment. When I have it done, that page will be real time to about
30mins I guess. I wouldn't want to update it too quickly otherwise we
could end up flooding something ;)

ontact about this,
you'd more likely want the webmasters team. But as I do a little work
with them, I can just give you the link www.javirc.com All the details
about the java irc client we have on the undernet website can be found
on that address.

How would forcing X to requery your username every X mins/secs be less
taxing than getting X to look once when you log in? I might have
missed something there ;)

a majority of the domains quickly. (Anything containing c, n, o like net,
com, org, co). That ban will also match a lot more than just the ends. I'm
still not sure if that'd still b e a suitable solution.

e first two aren't there... I am more than likely wrong... Did
you try a banlist after you set the *!*@*? Were they listed then in
X's banlist?
As I said... excuse the feeble mind, and probably poor understanding
of the way things are currently running ;)

(No need to CC: me... I'm on the list)
As far as I remember, setting invisible in X doesn't stop the /msg x
verify command from working... it still displays the info... it
just stops /msg x info from returning useful data such as who
you're logged in from.

You mean maybe like their processor serial/mac address/OS id?

Guess I should read a bit more on that CFV... that is a really
annoying addition, especially when trying to deal with idlers in a
channel, we cannot tell if the person is just quiet in the channel, or
idle. Oh well :P
Thanks for the info

Okay... number two... noticed that some servers are not responding
with the idle times when doing a /whois nick nick request. Again I'm
on amsterdam.nl.eu.undernet.org so I don't know if that has anything
to do with it. Is it just me again?
- Valcor
Hi Kev,
That cleared it up... thanks... you'll have to excuse my knowledge...
I'm just starting to understand the code a little better, although not
a coder myself (at least not this language)... I'm starting to pick
more things up.

Hi,
Just been looking on amsterdam.nl.eu.undernet.org, and noticed the new
ACCOUNT reply in the /whois, but it seems to be backwards. For
example:
Valcor is ~[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Valcor is «Jonathan Angliss»
Valcor on Amsterdam.NL.EU.undernet.org
Valcor Valcor is logged in
it had just removed the ban from the
channel. At least that's the behaviour I am understanding anyway. :)

cservice members... and then you also have to
consider the issue that some people work in both areas. User-com
doesn't have any username registration systems... so that'd maybe have
to be made just to fit this idea. I think the current idea of
*@.users.undernet.org is fine.

Hi Hidden,
Erm... my understanding of it would be the last ban over rules the
other three bans, so the ircd drops the unnecessary bans. That is
why you only see the final ban.
I could stand corrected though ;)

I think I proposed this idea in user-com@ and sent my updated list to
magic, although it's not appeared yet. Not even sure if he got it as
I was having mail issues at the time.
