The problem you are seeing was fixed yesterday, try
cvs update , if that doesnt work
rm -fr gnuworld, and get a fresh copy.

Major modifications were made yesterday to gnuworld to
support the new gcc 3.1 compiler. Please check out a
fresh copy of the repository.
Which gcc version are you using?

cvs update you will probably not know wich files where affected. So the only
solutions are to or fix the files (find them through fgrep -ir "=
