Patrick McFadin created CASSANDRA-4680: ------------------------------------------
Summary: Show time drift between nodes when using nodetool ring Key: CASSANDRA-4680 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-4680 Project: Cassandra Issue Type: Improvement Reporter: Patrick McFadin Priority: Minor >From the docs: Server clock synchronization is more important in 1.2; replicas will use a coordinator-provided timestamp to determine when a request has timed out and is thus not worth proceeding with. Using a service like NTP is strongly recommended. Since this is now more important than ever, my proposed enhancement would be to the nodetool command. When displaying the "ring" information, add the time drift as relative to the current host. This would be a valuable tool to aid in diagnostics. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA.
