You're right and should push that - forgot that [CASSANDRA-11427] was a 2.2
only fix. I think it makes sense to just change the {{@since}} version to 3.0+.
I confirmed the test is passing on newer branches.

Totally missed that we added a dtest for this sorry. We clearly shouldn't be
running that test on 2.2 anymore since we know it will fail. It should work on
3.0+ though unless I'm missing something so I wouldn't remove it, but I would
change the {{@since}} version. Want me to push that?

I don't think we plan on reintroducing this, so it probably makes sense to remove the test.
