Walter Kruse created NETBEANS-2438:
--------------------------------------

             Summary: Groovy project
                 Key: NETBEANS-2438
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-2438
             Project: NetBeans
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: apisupport - Project
    Affects Versions: 11.0
            Reporter: Walter Kruse
             Fix For: 12.0

As a test automator using Groovy scripting, when I create a new project I want
to be able to:

-create a Groovy project (with or without Maven/Ivy)

-that will be able to run a classless script

-execute @Grab statements to collect jars upon executing

Test case:

{{groovy.grape.Grape.grab(group:'org.apache.commons', module:'commons-lang3',
version:'3.3.2'}}

{{def s = "A silly string with words"}}

{{assert org.apache.commons.lang3.text.WordUtils.capitalizeFully(s) == 'A Silly
String With Words'}}

or:

{{@Grab(group='org.apache.commons', module='commons-lang3', version='3.3.2')}}

{{def s = "A silly string with words}}

{{"}}{{assert org.apache.commons.lang3.text.WordUtils.capitalizeFully(s) == 'A
Silly String With Words'}}

At the moment I am using [~GeertjanWielenga]'s Pure Groovy Project from
[http://plugins.netbeans.org/plugin/49928/pure-groovy-project]
